You can triple the eating time for your horse
40 minutes is how quickly your horse chews through 1 kg of wrap, but with RC Slowfeeder net it takes up to 2.5 hours to eat the same amount.
We have had constant requests for slowfeeder nets over the past year. Now they are finally here, 2 new RC Slowfeeder nets for hay and wrap, which support healthier digestion and are ideal for horses that are above normal weight or horses that do not have free access to straw feed. The nets are:
- Knotless
- Soft nylon thread
- Extra strong, crocheted with double needle
- 15x15 mm - extra small mesh size
The nets are crocheted in a soft nylon thread, they are knot-free and thus gentle on the horse's gums and teeth. The meshes are the smallest on the market and provide the ultimate extension of eating time for the horse.
2 practical sizes
RC Slowfedet net is available in 2 sizes. Ideal for use in the stable, in the field or in the trailer.
The nets have a large opening that makes them very easy to fill.

Easier evening feeding
Obesity is one of the biggest challenges for horse owners, regardless of the breed of horse. Your evening feeding of those horses that do not have ad libitum access to hay and wrap will be easier.
Depending on the size of the horse and the amount of feed, you can choose either the small or large net. The nets help to create contented horses and peace in the stable overnight.
Help the horse get off to a good start
Some horses need a period of adjustment when you start feeding in a slow feeder net. Divide the potion in half, serving one half on the ground and the other in the net until the horse has learned to eat from the net.
Help the horse get started by pulling small tufts of wrap/hay through the holes so the horse can figure out what to do.
Even horses fed ad libitum wrap/hay also choose to eat from the net when it is hanging accessible. A possible explanation may be that most horses love to poke and explore and that behavior may be a form of distraction/calm-down hormone release in the brain, which is thus satisfied by the slow feeder net.
