It's a question we get over and over again:
“Do I need an analysis before you can help me?”
And the answer is reassuringly simple:
No – you don't need a roughage analysis to get help.
But it is of course an advantage if you have it.
Here we guide you through how you can find out what your horse needs - no matter where you are in the process.
✅ Do you have a roughage analysis?
So we have a really good starting point.
With the analysis, we can see exactly how much energy, protein and minerals are in the hay – and where something is missing.
This way, we can tailor a feeding plan that meets your horse's needs and ensures balance.
→ It creates peace of mind, overview and makes it easy to do the right thing.
✅ Don't have an analysis?
So we start with the next best thing:
Your experience, your observations – and our experience.
We ask about:
- What your horse is eating right now
- How it thrives physically and mentally
- Your everyday life, training and any changes in behavior
With this knowledge, we can often give you a qualified assessment of what the horse is missing – and how you can adjust the feeding in a simple and targeted way.
🐴 What does the horse's body show you?
Whether you have an analysis or not, the horse's body can give you important signals.
For example:
- Low or fluctuating energy
- Muscle tension and soreness
- Itchy, dry skin or dull fur
- Weak hooves or slow horn growth
- Loose stomach or varying stools
- Restlessness, short temper, or nervousness
These signs are often related to deficiencies of vitamins, minerals, omega-3 or protein.
🌿 Our approach: Close the gaps – without overdoing it
At Regulator Complete, our goal is not to overfeed – but to close the gaps in the roughage .
We work with the body's biology - and help you identify what is actually missing so that the horse gets the necessary building blocks.
It doesn't have to be expensive, complicated or performance-driven.
📩 Do you need sparring?
You don't have to stand alone.
Whether you have an analysis, a feeling or just a desire to do better - we are happy to help you further.
