RC O3 Algae is based on Life's Omega Ⓡ from Veramaris/DSM , which produces the two essential omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA from the natural marine algae strain Schizochytrium sp.
The algae are grown industrially under controlled and clean conditions and fermented into oil. There is no environmental impact or pollution of the oils. The sustainable technology by which the algae oil is produced is a complete replacement for fish-based ingredients.
By combining expertise in cultivating natural marine algae with know-how in industrial-scale fermentation, Veramaris has developed a technology that is innovative and nutritionally superior. Fermentation ensures a supply of these essential nutrients without affecting marine ecosystems.
Variation in consistency
There may be variation in consistency because the amount of omega 3, which is very thin, ranges between 58.5-62.0%, while the saturated fat is between 23-27%. This means that if the saturated fat in a batch approaches 27%, the oil will become more viscous. Variation in consistency is a natural part of the oil, as the oil has not been manipulated.
