B12, vitamin C and magnesium – that's why Supreme Minerals contains more than Every Day Happy and Peak P.

Some horse owners wonder why the vitamin and mineral levels are not quite the same in Regulator Complete's products. For example, Heidi has asked about the differences in B12, vitamin C and magnesium between Every Day Happy , Peak Performance and Supreme Minerals .

Here you will get the answers – so you can see how the products are composed and why they are adjusted differently.

💊 Is Every Day Happy low in B12?

In Every Day Happy, the B12 level is on the low end when given the normal dosage (e.g. 45 g per 100 kg for horses in light work/fold).

When using the extra dosage (e.g. 65 g per 100 kg), the B12 level is higher.

🔎 If we compare with other horse feed companies, it is actually common that B12 is not added at all.

💊 Why is there more B12 in Supreme Minerals than in Every Day Happy and Peak Performance?

New research indicates that horses may benefit from extra B12 in relation to the excretion of the substance homocysteine , which is formed naturally in the body.

👉 That's why the B12 level is set higher in Supreme Minerals than in Every Day Happy and Peak Performance.

There is no official recommended amount of B12 for horses yet. If a recommendation is made and it proves necessary, we will of course adjust the products.

In addition, extra vitamin C has been added to Supreme Minerals. The purpose is to support horses that need a pure vitamin and mineral supplement – for example during periods of temperature fluctuations or during allergy testing.

We closely follow feedback from horse owners and adjust the levels if experience shows that there is a need.

💊 Why is there more magnesium in Every Day Happy and Peak Performance than in Supreme Minerals?

The difference here is about the balance between the minerals.

  • In Supreme Minerals, the calcium and phosphorus are adjusted slightly upwards.

  • This is especially to support horses that graze all summer and are also growing, pregnant or lactating.

  • For horses that cannot tolerate grass and therefore receive limited roughage, phosphorus levels may otherwise become too low. Supreme Minerals is specifically adapted for this group.

👉 When we look specifically at magnesium:

  • 20 g of Supreme Minerals per 100 kg corresponds to 50 g Every Day Happy/Peak Performance per 100 kg.

  • If you give a higher dose of Every Day Happy or Peak Performance (e.g. 400 g daily for a 600 kg horse), it is typically because the horse is training more, sweating more – and thus has a greater need for magnesium.

In general , all Regulator Complete products are at the high end when it comes to magnesium content .

🔑 Briefly summarized

  • B12: Lower in Every Day Happy/Peak Performance at base dosage – higher in Supreme Minerals.

  • Vitamin C: Added to Supreme Minerals for horses that need a pure vitamin and mineral supplement.

  • Magnesium: All products are high, but the balance is adjusted differently to match horses on pasture, growing, pregnant or in training.
